"I submitted to the open call - now what's next?"

First of all, thank you to all who submitted!

The response to the open casting call was tremendous and we are very excited to review each and every audition.
The purpose of the open call was to provide an opportunity for anyone (with some parameters for age/ethnicity) to audition for the show , regardless of having an agent or access to our regular season casting calls, and regardless of previous on-camera experience and credits.
This open casting call does not replace our role-specific regular season casting process, but we will be pulling from our open call "selects" for casting on future seasons.
For those open call auditions that we believe have the strong potential to fit into THE CHOSEN cast at some point, we will keep those "selects" in our online casting files and review as specific roles come up on future seasons. If one of our open call actors is a potential fit for a specific role, we will reach out directly with further instructions at that time.
Until then, you likely won't hear from us. But please be assured that every single submission is being reviewed, and all auditions will be kept for future reference and consideration.
FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO RESPONDED THAT YOU WOULD BE WILLING TO BE CONSIDERED AS A BACKGROUND PERFORMER ON THE SHOW, we will be forwarding that information to the production team to keep on file for future background needs. Any contact regarding being an extra on the show will come from production as needed.
